The Capsules of Extraterrestrial Life

The 13th International Young Architects' Ideas Awards and Exhibition is a single stage ideas competition organised annually by the Chamber of Architects of Turkey Antalya Branch with the support of the UIA and in accordance with the UNESCO Regulations for International Competitions in Architecture and Town-Planning.

The 13th International Young Architects' Ideas Awards and Exhibition is a single stage ideas competition organised annually by the Chamber of Architects of Turkey Antalya Branch with the support of the UIA and in accordance with the UNESCO Regulations for International Competitions in Architecture and Town-Planning. 

In 2018, the competition participants were asked to examine "which problems and potential solutions are produced by an extraterrestrial context" and "how a life form alternative to the terrestrial one acquire spatiality?" The organisers are looking for conceptual projects from young architects and students in which design ideas are developed within an extraterrestrial context selected by the participant.

In order to participate, competitiors had to be born after 1978 and to be an architect. Competitors of Turkish nationality were also required to be a member of the Chamber of Architects of Turkey and foreign participants had to be a member of the organisation of architects in their own country.
