Indian architect Madhusudhan Chalasani and his team studio MADe has won first prize in the single stage international ideas competition for the best proposal for the Suncheon Art Platform in the centre of the city of Suncheon, South Korea.

Indian architect Madhusudhan Chalasani and his team studio MADe has won first prize in the single stage international ideas competition for the best proposal for the Suncheon Art Platform in the centre of the city of Suncheon, South Korea.

The competition was conducted with the endorsement from the International Union of Architects and according to the UNESCO Regulations for International Competitions. Swiss architect Mr. Ueli Brauen, with Malaysian architect Ms. Tan Pei Ing as alternate juror, represented the UIA on the jury.

The City of Suncheon launched the Suncheon Art Platform competition on February 29th 2016 as part of an ongoing urban regeneration project intended to spotlight the Old City’s historic heritage and to create a dynamic cultural hub and an iconic architectural landmark.
